LIVE ENTERTAINMENT CONCEPTS
To celebrate the RTA’s attendance and key sponsorship at International Association of Public Transport 2009, The Bridge was proud to have been chosen as official live communications agency for the RTA at this international event. Since Dubai is the destination for UITP 2011, it was important that the RTA’s attendance was in-line with international exhibitor expectations, as well representative of the best of the UAE hospitality, culture and heritage.
Local cultural experts were consulted in order for The Bridge to design and implement an authentic Emirati performance, to be shown in front of VIPs at the opening congress hosted by HE Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the RTA. The performance featured Emirati yolla dancers from 9 – 12 years, a specialist group of local drummers and a live sand artist, who depicted the story and evolution of the UAE with a beautiful animation using sand from Dubai, enhanced with Arabic music and thematic lighting.
To further enhance the reputation of the RTA at the week long exhibition and develop the visitor experience, The Bridge was also responsible for the on-stand management of the RTA’s exhibition stand, the largest at the event. This included event design, logistics of the entire team from the UAE into Vienna, live stand entertainment design, Emirati food and beverage design, and other traditional elements such as a henna artist and falcon photo experience.
